Click

Click is one of Uzbekistan's main payment apps, alongside Payme and Paynet [17], and has been running since November 2011 [1]. You link an UzCard or Humo bank card to the Click SuperApp, a Telegram bot, the web cabinet or the USSD menu *880#, which works without internet [2]. From there you pay bills, send money from card to card for 1.1 % [3], or scan a shop's QR code. Click had over 20 million registered users and 70,000 service providers in July 2025 [13].

How Click came to Uzbekistan

Click was founded in November 2011 as a way to pay utilities, internet and mobile bills from a phone [1]. When the Central Bank launched its QR-online service in March 2020, Click was the app it named for shoppers whose banks' apps could not yet pay QR codes [24].

Date What happened
Nov 2011 Click LLC founded [1]
Mar 2020 Click can pay the Central Bank's new QR-online codes [24]
1 Mar 2023 Click Pass: pay at a shop's cash register by showing a QR code in the app [10]
Sep 2024 Over 18.4 million registered users (15.7 million a year earlier) and 3.3 million authorised accounts. Revenue for the first nine months of 2024: UZS 420.9 billion [16]
Oct 2024 One of the first apps for UzCard's Tez QR [20]
Jul 2025 Over 20 million users and 70,000 service providers. Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan agrees to buy 49 % for $176.4 million, while Click's shareholders buy 49 % of Halyk's Tenge Bank [13]
30 Sep 2025 Click shares admitted to trading on the Tashkent stock exchange [14]
End of 2025 The Halyk deal is not completed and the signed documents expire. Spot's sources said it still awaited Uzbek regulators [15]
Q1 2026 UZS 209.4 billion net revenue and UZS 78.6 billion net profit, with Click building a super app of its own and partner services [17]
7 Oct 2026 Asia Alliance Bank becomes the issuer of Click's electronic money; tariffs unchanged [9]

The Halyk deal. Kazakhstan's regulator approved Halyk's purchase on 29 September 2025. The deal also needs Uzbekistan's Central Bank and Competition Committee [14]. Halyk's materials for its 2026 shareholder meeting said the deal was not completed by the end of 2025, and that the parties were still discussing options [15].

How to use it

  1. Register. Install Click SuperApp and enter a phone number that has your bank's SMS notification service. Confirm the SMS code, add your card's number and expiry date, and set a 5-digit Click-PIN. The Telegram bot @clickuz works the same way [12]. Online identification in the app unlocks the full wallet [5].
  2. Pay bills and services in any of the channels: app, Telegram bot, web cabinet my.click.uz, or USSD *880#, which works with no internet [2]. Auto-payments handle regular bills [2].
  3. Send money by the recipient's card number or phone number, between cards of any Uzbek bank [4]. Over USSD you dial the card or phone number and the amount [4]. A transfer by phone number reaches the recipient once that number is registered in Click [4].
  4. Request money from another user by their number [4].
  5. Pay in a shop with the QR scanner (scan, enter the amount, confirm) [18]. You can also tap Click Pass and let the cashier scan the code on your screen [10], or pay by NFC with HUMO Pay on Android [22].

Which cards. Click works on UzCard and Humo cards. You can add Visa and Mastercard cards, but card-to-card transfers run only between UzCard and Humo [12]. Since March 2026 the app can also top up domestic Visa Sum cards and send to them (sponsored announcement) [23].

Family transfers. "My family" makes transfers to relatives free. It works for identified users whose relationship is confirmed in the civil registry (ZAGS) database [26].

Promotions in autumn 2026.

  • New users who identify get fee-free transfers of up to UZS 3,000,000 for 30 days, once (from 24 September 2026) [7].
  • A random sample of identified users gets card-to-card transfers between Humo and UzCard at 0.7 % for 30 days. The programme runs from 15 October 2026 to 15 January 2027 [6].

Limits change; check Click's and your bank's current terms.

Paying shops and businesses

  • Click QR in shops (Click Terminal). A shop registers with its bank and gets a virtual terminal, a seller code and a QR sticker. Customers pay by scanning the sticker, by entering the seller code in the app or USSD, or by paying a bill the cashier sends to their number. The shop needs no physical bank terminal, and Click lists working without internet access and during power cuts as advantages [11].
  • Click Pass at the till. Since 1 March 2023 customers can pay at cash registers by showing a QR code from the app. The payment earns cashback from Click and from the tax app SoliqUz without scanning the receipt [10].
  • Other codes. In April 2026 Click said its scanner reads Xolis, TezQR, A-Pay, MUNIS, Rahmat and Poytaxt Parking codes and all banks' QR codes (sponsored) [18]. Since January 2026 it pays UzCard's Tez QR with Humo cards too [21].
  • UzQR. Since 1 July 2026 shops must display the Central Bank's unified UzQR. The Central Bank said they may keep Click codes beside it [19].
  • Scale. Over 70,000 service providers worked with Click in July 2025 [13]. For Uzbek payment companies, merchant-acquiring fees are one of three core revenue streams, with P2P and bill-payment fees [17].

Paying across borders

Click is a domestic app. Its FAQ says transfers go only between UzCard and Humo cards; Visa and Mastercard cards can be added but not sent to [12]. In March 2026 Click called integration with international payment solutions a priority (sponsored) [23]. No live international transfer or foreign-QR service was found in the sources. The partnership with Kazakhstan's Halyk Bank had not closed as of March 2026 [15].

How the Click codes work

Click uses QR codes both ways:

  • Merchant-presented (Click Terminal): a static sticker that ties to the shop's seller code. The customer scans it and enters the amount [11].
  • Customer-presented (Click Pass): the app shows a QR code and the cashier's register scans it [10].
  • Other systems' codes: the app scans UzCard's Tez QR shown on a terminal screen [20]. It also scans the national UzQR and QR-online codes; see QR-online.

Click has not published its QR payload format, so this page can't say whether it follows EMVCo merchant-presented QR. The Click standard page covers the app's background. The QR code printed on an Uzbek receipt is a fiscal (tax) receipt code, not a payment code [10].

Safety: the caller who wants your SMS code

In October 2026 Click responded to social-media posts that cited Interior Ministry cybercrime data mentioning Click. It said those cases were not hacks of the app. Most were social engineering: fraudsters talk a person into making the transfer or handing over access to their phone. Click says that if a check confirms fraud, it returns the money; you report it in the "Сообщить о мошенничестве" (report fraud) mini-app [8]. The Central Bank warns about the same pattern: callers posing as bank or payment-company staff ask for the one-time SMS code [25].

  • Click staff never ask for SMS codes or PINs, and never ask you to move money "for safekeeping" [8].
  • If someone rushes or frightens you, hang up and call the organisation on its official number [8].
  • If you already shared a code or sent a suspicious transfer, report it in the app, then call your card's bank and Click on +998 71 231 08 80 [8].
