## Overview

**Apple Pay QR** is the QR payment scheme of **Apple Pay**, Apple's mobile payment and digital wallet service. Apple Pay supports QR code payments for in-app and online merchant transactions across its ecosystem. Apple Pay has billions of devices worldwide with support in 60+ countries and integrates with major card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).

## QR Format
Apple Pay QR uses [QR Code](https://docs.barcoder.ai/docs/standards/qr-code) symbology with a proprietary Apple Pay UR payload ([URL QR](../url-qr/)). The QR payload contains the Apple Pay transaction token and merchant data. Apple Pay QR is designed for merchant-initiated and customer-presented payment flows.
