## Overview

**Line Pay QR** is the QR payment scheme of **LINE Pay**, Japan's (and Taiwan's) dominant mobile wallet operated by LINE Pay Corporation (formerly Line Corporation + Z Holdings merger). LINE Pay has 80M+ registered users across Japan and Taiwan and supports [QR Code](https://docs.barcoder.ai/docs/standards/qr-code) merchant payments, P2P transfers, and LINE Points integration (cashback rewards).

## QR Format
Line Pay QR uses [QR Code](https://docs.barcoder.ai/docs/standards/qr-code) symbology with a LINE Pay-specific UR payload (URL-based, [URL QR](../url-qr/)). The payload contains merchant ID, transaction ID, and amount data encoded as a URI scheme.
