## Overview

Maya (formerly PayMaya) is the Philippines' largest mobile wallet with 60M+ users. It operates both as an e-money institution (**Maya Payments Pi**) and a digital bank (**Maya Bank / MBi**). Maya fully complies with **QR Ph** (the Philippines' national QR standard) and **EMVCo MPM** specifications. In 2024, the platform processed over ₱1 trillion in transaction value. It supports QR payments, P2P transfers, bill payments, online checkout, and even crypto trading.

## QR Format
Maya uses [QR Code](https://docs.barcoder.ai/docs/standards/qr-code) symbology with an EMVCo Merchant-Presented Mode (MPM) payload. Its QR Ph compliance means it interoperates with all other QR Ph-accepting wallets (GCash, GrabPay, ShopeePay, etc.) via the [URL QR](../url-qr/) format for EMVCo UR payloads. Maya supports both static and dynamic QR codes.

## Status

Active in the Philippines.
