## Overview

**LPBank Plus** is the retail mobile-banking app of **Ngân hàng TMCP Lộc Phát Việt Nam** (Fortune Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank, short name **LPBank**, ticker LPB on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange). It is a bank app, not a stored-value wallet: money moves from LPBank accounts and cards. ## History

- **2008: Liên Việt.** The bank was founded in 2008 as Ngân hàng TMCP Liên Việt (Liên Việt Joint Stock Commercial Bank) with charter capital of VND 3,300 billion [[4]](https://thoibaotaichinhvietnam.vn/co-phieu-lpb-chinh-thuc-chao-san-hose-31969.html).
- **2011: LienVietPostBank.** The bank used the English short name LienVietPostBank from 2011 [[2]](https://vietnamfinance.vn/ngan-hang-buu-dien-lien-viet-chinh-thuc-doi-ten-thanh-lpbank-d96196.html), for Ngân hàng TMCP Bưu điện Liên Việt ("Bưu điện" means post). ## Ownership & operator

The operator is **Ngân hàng TMCP Lộc Phát Việt Nam**, a joint-stock commercial bank licensed and supervised by the State Bank of Vietnam, listed on HOSE as LPB [[1]](https://tapchicongthuong.vn/ngan-hang-lpbank--lpb--chinh-thuc-doi-ten-thanh-ngan-hang-loc-phat-123695.htm). Its charter capital was VND 17,291 billion at the end of 2022 [[6]](https://baodauthau.vn/thach-thuc-thoai-von-cua-vnpost-tai-lienvietpostbank-post136276.html). The App Store listing gives the head office as No. 8, lane 1, Tôn Đức Thắng street, Hoa Lư ward, Ninh Bình province [[15]](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=6754912208&country=vn). This bio found no current shareholder register; the older claim that a named conglomerate is a major shareholder had no source and has been left out.

LPBank moved existing users of the old app across in six waves [[13]](https://lpbank.com.vn/api/content-file/public/file/view/96a098ca-1b70-4a68-9e54-3d0ea30e38f2), and the 2.7 million figure is not split into new and migrated customers. LPBank publishes no monthly-active figure.

All three banks launched VietQR together, so any of their apps can pay the others' codes; the choice is about where a customer banks and how well the app works. LPBank Plus is a seven-month-old rebuild and its ratings are still well below the leaders'.
