QNB Türkiye: QNB Mobil
0 standards supported
Overview
QNB Mobil is the mobile-banking app of QNB Bank A.Ş., the Turkish bank that trades as QNB Türkiye and was called QNB Finansbank until October 2024. Qatar National Bank owns 99.88% of it [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). The app is a bank app, not a stored-value wallet: it moves money out of QNB accounts and cards. It runs on Türkiye's national instant-payment system FAST (the bank is FAST participant 0111) [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar), and the bank reports card payments by QR code and QR cash deposits at its ATMs [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). At the end of 2025 QNB Türkiye had 7.07 million active digital customers and 7.03 million active mobile-banking customers, and 96.5% of its transactions went through digital channels [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). Its former digital-only brand, Enpara, became a separate bank in August 2025 and has its own bio.
History
- 1987: Finansbank. Finansbank A.Ş. was established on 26 October 1987 under the leadership of the businessman Hüsnü Özyeğin, with 100 partners [1](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/about-qnb/about-us).
- 2006: National Bank of Greece. National Bank of Greece (NBG) bought Finansbank in 2006 [1](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/about-qnb/about-us). The bank's timeline adds that NBG Group came to own 94.8% of the shares by acquiring Fiba Holding's stake [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- 2012: Enpara.com. The bank launched Enpara.com on 5 October 2012 to deliver all banking services through digital channels only [1](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/about-qnb/about-us).
- 2013: QNB Mobil. The app now called QNB Mobil was first published on Google Play on 31 January 2013 [6](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.finansbank.mobile.cepsube&hl=en) and on the Turkish App Store on 10 December 2013 [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr).
- 2016: QNB Group. In 2016 Qatar National Bank (Q.P.S.C.) acquired a 99.9% majority stake in Finansbank [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). The bank's website dates the purchase to June 2016 and says the name changed to QNB Finansbank in October 2016 [1](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/about-qnb/about-us). The trade name registered in the financial statements changed from "FİNANS BANK A.Ş" to "QNB FİNANSBANK A.Ş" on 19 January 2018 [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- 2024: QNB Bank A.Ş. On 11 October 2024, with the registration of a general-assembly resolution of 1 October 2024, the brand "QNB Finansbank" became "QNB" and the trade name became QNB Bank A.Ş. [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- 2025: Enpara leaves. Enpara.com's banking services were transferred to Enpara Bank A.Ş. as of 28 August 2025, through a partial spin-off [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). Enpara Bank A.Ş. had joined FAST as participant 0157 on 10 April 2025 [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar). QNB's 2025 report restates its 2024 figures without Enpara.com, so its digital numbers from 2025 on exclude Enpara's customers [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
Ownership & operator
The operator is QNB Bank A.Ş., a Turkish deposit bank whose head office is the Crystal Tower building. At the end of 2025 it had 13 regional directorates and 418 branches, including 416 in Türkiye, one in Bahrain and one in the Atatürk Airport Free Zone. It called itself Türkiye's fifth-largest private bank by total assets, customer deposits and net loans [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). On 30 June 2026 the group had 11,827 staff and 417 branches, and Qatar National Bank still controlled 99.88% of the shares [3](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4685.vsf). The remaining 0.12% are public shares. Qatar National Bank, Qatar's first commercial bank (founded in 1964), is 50% owned by the Qatar Investment Authority, and the other 50% is public [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). The parent group has its own bio at QNB Group.
The App Store lists IBTECH A.S. as the app's seller [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr). IBTech is QNB Türkiye's own software subsidiary, founded in 2005 [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). As a bank, QNB is licensed and supervised by the BDDK. The FAST system it uses is run by the central bank, TCMB [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar).
Technical integration
- App functions. The store listing says QNB Mobil lets customers track and manage accounts and credit cards, transfer money and buy or sell foreign currency. Customers log in with their customer number and a Digital Password [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr). QNB's English product page says the app can send money to another QNB account or to another bank's account [4](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/724-banking/qnb-mobil).
- FAST (full). QNB Bank A.Ş. is participant 0111 in FAST, the central bank's 24/7 instant credit-transfer system [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar). On FAST a sender can use the receiver's IBAN or an "easy address" registered with BKM's Kolay Adresleme system: a mobile number, email address, Turkish ID, tax or passport number [9](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/kolay%20adresleme). See Kolay Adres (KOLAS) and FAST.
- TR QR Code (partial). QNB reported a 196% increase in credit-card QR payments in 2025. It also lets digitally active customers deposit cash at ATMs without a card by scanning a QR code [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf). Under the central bank's FAST-TR Karekod model, a payer scans a code made by a merchant or a person to start a FAST payment [8](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/karekod). No QNB page fetched for this bio describes FAST-TR Karekod in QNB Mobil itself, so support is listed as partial. See TR QR Code.
- Contactless and identity. QNB said its 2025 credit-card NFC payments rose 14%. In the app it uses NFC reading of the national identity card, with facial recognition, to verify customers. The first process to use it was changing a registered mobile number [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Assistant. The current QNB Mobil includes Digital Intelligence Q, an AI assistant. QNB says 7.7 million customers became regular users of Q and that its language model reached 98% accuracy [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
Users & growth
| Metric (end-2025) | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Active digital customers | 7.07 million (up 110% over five years) | [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) |
| Active mobile-banking customers | 7.03 million | [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) |
| Transactions through digital channels | 3.0 billion in 2025; 96.5% of all transactions | [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) |
| Active customers using QNB Mobil | 86.5% | [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) |
| Growth in digital payment systems use | 145% in 2025 | [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) |
The bank does not say how long a customer may go without logging in and still count as "active". On the App Store, QNB Mobil had about 1.36 million ratings with an average of 4.6 on 22 October 2026 [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr). On Google Play it showed more than 10 million downloads [6](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.finansbank.mobile.cepsube&hl=en). Because Enpara.com was carved out in August 2025, these figures are not comparable with older QNB Finansbank figures that included it [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
Use cases
- Transfers. Customers move money between their own accounts, to other QNB customers and to other banks [4](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/724-banking/qnb-mobil), with FAST carrying instant TL transfers between banks [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar).
- Card payments. QNB issues debit and credit cards, including the CardFinans range and Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles co-branded cards. Customers pay with them by QR code and by NFC [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Cash at ATMs. Digitally active customers deposit cash by QR code without a card. Receipts for ATM cash transactions can be shown in QNB Mobil instead of being printed [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Loans and SMEs. The report describes overdraft and loan processes redesigned for QNB Mobil, and offers to SME customers through the app [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Foreign exchange. The app lets customers view rates and buy or sell foreign currency [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr).
Implementations & partners
- Merchant acquiring. At the end of 2025 QNB had 265,372 POS terminals and 205,608 merchants, with a 4.90% share of POS turnover [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- TROY. By promoting TROY-branded commercial credit cards (TROY is the national card scheme run by BKM), QNB reached 1.069 million of these cards and an 8.83% market share [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Turkish Airlines. QNB and Turkish Airlines signed a five-year agreement to issue Miles&Smiles credit cards [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- Remittances. QNB's site lists Western Union and "Money Transfer With Ripplenet" among its consumer payment products [4](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/724-banking/qnb-mobil).
Fun facts
- QNB says that CardFinans Nakit was the first debit card in the world to let customers pay for purchases in instalments [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf).
- The bank's English site still asks app users for a "FinansPassword", a remnant of the Finansbank name [4](https://www.qnb.com.tr/en/724-banking/qnb-mobil).
Comparison
| QNB Mobil | CEPTETEB (TEB) | Fibabanka Mobil (Fibabanka) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | Qatar National Bank, 99.88% [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) | BNP Paribas group (see TEB bio) | Fiba Holding (see Fibabanka bio) |

| Scale | 7.03 million active mobile customers (end-2025) [2](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4549.vsf) | About 3.1 million mobile-active clients (Q1 2026; see TEB bio) | 3.09 million digital customers (end-2025; see Fibabanka bio) |
All three apps reach the same FAST rail, so a sender can pay any of them by IBAN or easy address. The choice is the bank relationship behind the app: QNB has a 418-branch network and a large card and POS business, while the other two are smaller banks. Among QNB's own former customers, the branchless alternative is now Enpara, a separate bank since August 2025. Other Turkish bank-app bios are Garanti BBVA, Akbank, Yapı Kredi and DenizBank. Papara is the main e-money wallet on the same rail.
Status
Active. The iOS app was last updated on 16 October 2026 [5](https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=739655617&country=tr). QNB Bank A.Ş. published its interim financial statements for 30 June 2026 [3](https://www.qnb.com.tr/medium/document-file-4685.vsf) and remains on the central bank's FAST participant list [7](https://www.tcmb.gov.tr/wps/wcm/connect/fast/katilimcilar).
